O – Ring Inspection Systems

This machine is an inspection system which verifies correctness of O-Rings. There is a vibratory bowl feeder delivering the O-Rings onto a rotating table at a rate of up to 150 PPM.

These parts are carried into three separate inspection areas where the vision systems inspect the part for a variety of features. Each inspection area has an air blow off nozzle designed to separate the parts into good and bad bins. There are four of these bins, three that contain parts which failed vision inspections, and one which contains good parts passing all three inspections.

For control purposes, a NEMA12 electrical enclosure, a five button two line display, and a PC with a custom user interface was provided.
